Need some help getting on with something?

  • Is there one job that just keeps slipping to the bottom of the list, and is starting to assume monstrous proportions?
  • Is there one area (finances, studying, self-care, creativity) where you find yourself repeatedly doing *something else instead* whenever it comes up?
  • Are you a serial procrastinator, putting everything off?

Any of these issues *might* have shallow roots and respond quickly and easily to EFT. Equally, any of them might have deep roots, and take more persistence and gentleness to resolve. Let’s find out what’s possible in 2 hours…

The session went extremely quickly and was fun as well as useful. Roushan’s humour, compassion and intelligence shine through and made me feel safe and motivated to meet my “procrastination nemesis”.

This tapping group is for anyone who’s familiar with the simple basics of EFT tapping (if you’re not familiar, you can watch the 5-minute video at the EFT International website and try it out, and you’ll be all set for the workshop).

How the group will work:

  • I’ll be guiding the tapping for everyone to follow along with.
  • First we’ll do some general tapping as a group, and you can type in suggestions to the chat.
  • After 10 minutes or so, I’ll invite one person to bring their specific issue forward (there won’t be a recording, don’t worry), and I’ll work with them mostly as I would in a client session for about 30-50 minutes. This will be different every time, depending on the person and what’s going on for them.
  • Everyone else in the group will be ‘borrowing benefits’. That is, you will make a quick note of what you can’t get started/keep going with, then put it aside and tap along with the person who’s ‘at the front’. Occasionally I’ll invite you to check back with what’s bothering you and get more specific about it, check how much it’s bothering you now, and then you’ll put it aside again.
  • Then you’ll all have 20-30 minutes to privately test what has changed and not changed about not being able to get started.
  • Then I’ll do around 30-40 minutes’ tapping with someone who’s still stuck, and you can do the same ‘borrowing benefits’ process if you, too, are still stuck.
  • And that’s it!

I found the group incredibly helpful. I frequently struggle with procrastination, partly due to ADHD and partly because of general overwhelm. I joined the session hoping to explore some of the feelings behind my procrastination and perhaps find a way to gently nudge myself forward. What I hadn’t anticipated was just how much I would gain from the experience.

Roushan took time to focus on my particular challenge – completing my tax return, something I’ve been putting off for months – but I also found myself benefiting from other people’s tapping sessions in ways I hadn’t even realised I needed.

One of the most valuable parts of the session was the opportunity to actually begin the task we’d been avoiding. Rather than simply talking about procrastination, we were encouraged to take action, however small, and recognise the progress we’d made. And if starting still felt impossible, there was space to explore what might be holding us back, without judgement.

Roushan created a warm, supportive and compassionate environment where it felt safe to be open and honest. I came away with a greater understanding of my procrastination, a sense of connection with others, and, importantly, a feeling that moving forward was possible.

I’d wholeheartedly recommend this group to anyone who finds themselves feeling stuck, overwhelmed or frustrated by their own procrastination. It’s a gentle but surprisingly powerful way to start making progress.

A note on the group style:
I aim to make groups and workshops an enjoyable, light-hearted experience, with no pressure, no putting anyone on the spot, and open to the wisdom of all present. I’m not handing down the last or only word on anything, but offering you my understanding and approach based on my own experience and training. I welcome and expect that not everything I say will be a good fit for everyone, so please just ignore anything that doesn’t fit for you. If there is anything you’re uncomfortable with or disagree with, I’ll be grateful you took the time to share it with me, and am always open to changing my position to one that is more inclusive and helpful.

I would like these groups and workshops to be as inclusive as possible, so if there is something you would like to know more about, or anything that will increase your comfort and ability to take part, please let me know. I’ll either put it in place, or let you know if there’s a reason that’s not possible. Please feel free to check this out before booking a place.
