I find the concept of ‘parts’ incredibly useful, and probably use it at some point with most of my EFT clients. There are different ways of working with parts (anxious parts, impatient parts, easily bored parts, parts that don’t feel good enough, parts that want to be liked…), and it can be a very helpful way to bring more compassion and self-compassion into your work (and life!). My approach to parts work is informed by the Internal Family Systems model and by the work of Diane Poole Heller, Janina Fisher and others. What we’ll do in this workshop is explore working with parts in a way that allows us to make it available to a variety of clients.

This workshop is for anyone curious about bringing parts work into their EFT practice, whether with others, for themselves, or both, and/or for those who have been trying it out, and would like to spend time exploring it further in a low-pressure learning environment.

If you did the level 3 training with me, this workshop will be a refresher. If you have done level 3 elsewhere, this will likely be a different perspective (every trainer is different!). If you haven’t attended a level 3 training, this might be your first time learning about using parts with EFT. Anyone who’s attended Level 2 or above (whether you’ve taken practitioner assessment or not) is welcome.

We’ll cover the following:

  • A simple way to begin working with parts, for indecision and internal conflict
  • Helping clients access resourceful parts
  • Some basic principles of parts work
  • Accessing compassion through parts work
  • Adjusting language and approach to make parts work more accessible
  • Parts work for feelings and behaviours a client doesn’t like in themselves
  • Working with ‘manager’ and ‘protector’ parts

There will also be a demonstration, and time for practice, and for questions and discussion arising from those.

For the comfort and ease of attendees, the workshop will not be recorded.

There isn’t time in these four hours to responsibly cover working with very vulnerable parts, and I will offer a ‘part 2’ workshop specifically around that.

A note on the workshop style:
I aim to make workshops an enjoyable, light-hearted experience, with no pressure, no putting anyone on the spot, and open to the wisdom of all present. I’m not handing down the last or only word on anything, but offering you my understanding and approach based on my own experience and training. I welcome and expect that not everything I say will be a good fit for everyone, and I invite you to take what works for you and leave what doesn’t. If there is anything you’re uncomfortable with or disagree with, I’ll be grateful you took the time to share it with me, and am always open to changing my position to one that is more inclusive and helpful. I would like these workshops to be as inclusive as possible, so if there is something you would like to know more about, or anything that will increase your comfort and ability to take part, please let me know. I’ll either put it in place, or let you know if there’s a reason it’s not possible. Please feel free to check this out before booking a place.

Unsticking Procrastination

(NB, In addition to this workshop, I’m also planning a tapping group open to all, practitioners or not, for unsticking procrastination. Details of that TBC)

Working with procrastination can often lead to accessing parts of ourselves and perspectives on our lives that are unexpected and valuable. It shows up frequently in sessions, and can take us to some very interesting places. It might be the main issue, or it might be an aspect of the main issue, but it’s often hanging around somewhere.

  • Perhaps you (or your client) are a serial procrastinator, putting everything off.
  • Perhaps there is one particular area (finances, studying, self-care, creativity) where you (or your client) find yourself repeatedly doing something else instead whenever it comes up.
  • Perhaps there is one job that just keeps slipping to the bottom of the list, and is starting to assume monstrous proportions.
  • Or perhaps your (or your client’s) dreams are on hold.

Any of these issues *might* have shallow roots and respond quickly and easily to EFT. Equally, any of them might have deep roots, and take more persistence and gentleness to resolve.

This workshop is for anyone who’s attended Level 2 EFT or above (whether you’ve taken practitioner assessment or not), and who’s dealing with procrastination in themselves or supporting clients with it, or wanting to be ready to better support clients with it when it shows up.

We’ll cover the following:

  • A simple, often very effective first step to resolving procrastination
  • Some common causes of getting stuck
  • In-depth questioning to check for hidden contributing aspects
  • Getting to further detail with contributing aspects
  • An introduction to parts work with procrastination

There will be demonstrations, an opportunity for you to test the approach, time for pairs practice, and time for questions and discussion arising from each of these.
Please bring something you yourself are not getting around to, small or large, for practice. If you prefer, you are welcome to keep it private and refer to it in ‘code’.
For the comfort and ease of attendees, the workshop will not be recorded.

Workshop

Background to the workshops and groups

After training EFT practitioners for ten years, 2011-2021, I spent a few years working only 1-1 with clients. In Summer 2026, I realised I missed training. I’d like to offer something to students and practitioners who are looking to refresh and deepen their existing skills, learn new ones, and/or further explore particular topics that arise in helping others.
Having been an EFT practitioner since 2003 and a Somatic Experiencing practitioner since 2014 (along with a number of post-graduate SE trainings), I’d like to hope I have experience and knowledge worth sharing with others.

(I also plan to offer some tapping groups on particular topics, which will be open to anyone at all who has a basic familiarity with EFT, but one thing at a time…)
